Limited Submission
Some opportunities limit the number of applications or proposals that may be an institution. For these opportunities, the OVPR holds an internal competition to select the applicant(s) who will represent Baylor through submission of a full proposal to the sponsor. These funding opportunities are sponsored by federal agencies (e.g., NIH, NSF), foundations, and some are even corporation-sponsored. The Baylor nomination process to select proposals for limited submission is coordinated by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR). For limited submissions to a foundation, corporation, or other private sponsor, OVPR works closely with the Office of Foundation Relations (OFR) and University Advancement. The institutionally limited nominations process is unified across the entirety of the University.
