Congratulations — your project was selected for funding!
- Contact CFR so that we can help you with the appropriate procedures, record the charitable grant, and develop a stewardship plan.
- CFR will send a thank you letter to the foundation on behalf of the University.
- Organize now to ensure that all elements of the project will be successfully completed and that the budget will be managed properly.
Foundations typically require periodic reports on the supported activity and a final report at the conclusion of the grant. The PI is responsible for submitting all reports but for awards submitted in partnership with CFR, our office will provide timely reminders and assistance in developing the report. The financial portion of your report is usually generated by the Office of Sponsored Programs. It is imperative that these reports be prepared and sent in to the foundation on time. If a report is missing, a foundation may withhold subsequent payment on your project or sometimes on another project at the university.
